through、across、cross和over都有”经过、穿过”的意思，是初中英语中很容易见到的介词，但，在用方面，却有非常大的不同，知道这类介词有什么区别，大家才能更好地用它们。
1、介词"through"一般表示从一个空间或物体的内部穿过另一个空间或物体。
比如：
He walked through the door to enter the room.他走过门进入房间。
The water flowed through the pipe.水流经管道。
I read the book from cover to cover, going through every page.

3、介词"cross"一般表示通过某个物体或地区的横跨或横穿动作。
比如：

The road sign indicates where pedestrians can safely cross the street.路标标示出行人可以安全过马路的地方。

4、介词"over"一般表示从一个地方到另一个地方的越过或跨越动作。
