并列宾语从句中间省略连词问题

Like most people, I ve long understood that I will be judged by my occupation ,that my profession is a gauge people use to see how smart or talented I am. 第二个that前面是否应该有and ,谢谢！

这两个that从句并非并列关系，第二个that从句是对第一个that从句的讲解，可以理解第二个that从句等于一个缘由状语从句修饰第一个that从句，that可以用because替换。
